Automation mega-event set to rock Sydney

Rockwell Automation and its extensive PartnerNetwork™ present ROKLive 2022 from August 30 – September 1, with practical sessions focused on enhancing machine performance, optimising plant operations, and empowering a digitally connected plant

Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, in collaboration with its extensive PartnerNetwork™, is hosting a large-scale automation industry event in Sydney Olympic Park, from August 30th to September 1st.

ROKLive 2022 is an in-person event that will bring together operations, maintenance, engineering and technology leaders to connect and learn about the industry’s latest innovations and solutions.

“With more than 70 interactive sessions utilising demo equipment – and a diverse range of Rockwell Automation’s partners – it provides people working with automation technology an invaluable opportunity to see the latest products in action, and what future problems they might be able to solve,” said Anthony Wong, regional director, South Pacific, Rockwell Automation.

Partner exhibitors to showcase integration and service expertise

ROKLive will be further enhanced by active participation from Rockwell Automation’s extensive PartnerNetwork. Partner exhibitors will be present on the Connected Show Floor, where they will be available to discuss and demonstrate their knowledge of Rockwell Automation products and services, and how they enhance customer service nationwide.

“We believe Rockwell Automation’s PartnerNetwork is one of the most extensive in Australia. It allows us to provide outstanding customer service, greater reach and responsiveness, and top-quality integrations through highly knowledgeable staff,” said Wong.

ROKLive – the largest in-person event Rockwell Automation has hosted in the region in years – will bridge the gap between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) to show how these disciplines can work in harmony to optimise results and processes in real-world applications.

ROKLive will feature partner exhibitors, including:

  • NHP Electrical Engineering Products, the exclusive distributor for Rockwell Automation throughout the South Pacific, providing SMART digital devices which provide better visibility into processes, data and analytics.
  • PTC, which, together with its partners, enables industrial companies to improve growth and profitability with a portfolio of innovative digital solutions that work together to transform how physical products are engineered, manufactured, and serviced.
  • Endress+Hauser, a global leader in measurement instrumentation, services, and solutions for industrial process engineering that provides process solutions that improve economic efficiency, safety and environmental impact.
  • Fluke Networks, the worldwide leader in certification, troubleshooting, and providing installation tools for critical network cabling infrastructure, including data centres and the harshest manufacturing environments
  • Panduit, the only end-to-end network and electrical infrastructure solution provider. From the data centre, office, plant floor and production line, Panduit provides a complete IT and OT optimised architecture solution.
  • Claroty, which empowers organisations to secure cyber-physical systems across industrial (OT), healthcare (IoMT), and enterprise (IoT) environments: the Extended Internet of Things (XIoT).
  • Stratus Technologies, which ensures the continuous availability of business-critical applications by delivering zero-touch Edge Computing platforms that are simple to deploy and maintain, protected from interruptions and threats, and autonomous.
  • ProSoft Technology, which specialises in industrial communication solutions for automation and control applications.  ProSoft’s focus is to provide connectivity solutions that link dissimilar automation devices as seamlessly as if they were all from the same supplier.
  • WIN-911, which makes notifications easy and reliable for infrastructure and industry. WIN-911 delivers critical alarms via smartphone or tablet app, voice (VoIP and analog), text, email and announcer — reducing operator response times, system downtime, and maintenance costs.
  • HMS Industrial Networks, which is an international company in the field of Industrial Information and Communication Technology (Industrial ICT). HMS stands for “Hardware Meets Software” referring to the fact that HMS products allow industrial hardware to be connected to IoT software.
  • EPLAN, which provides software and service solutions in the fields of electrical, automation, and mechatronic engineering. EPLAN develops one of the world’s leading design software solutions for machine & panel builders.
  • Pepperl+Fuchs, which is known as a pioneer and an innovator in electrical explosion protection and sensor technology. Pepperl+Fuchs works to understand market demands, developing specific solutions, and integrating them into processes.
  • METTLER TOLEDO, which is a leading global manufacturer of precision instruments and the world’s largest manufacturer and marketer of weighing instruments for use in laboratory, industrial and food retailing applications.

Largest Rockwell Automation in-person event in years

“Globally, there are big challenges for industry, from supply chain issues, through to global conflicts, and rising cost of parts. The current and future generations of engineers and technology leaders will need to use every resource available to them to navigate these uncharted waters. One of our aims with ROKLive is to give these leaders a first-hand look at some of the latest and greatest automation technologies,” said Wong.

ROKLive will commence with keynote speakers, including former Facebook CEO for Australia and New Zealand, Stephen Scheeler, who helped guide Facebook’s unprecedented rise from quirky Silicon Valley start up to media and technology titan. Other key topics to be addressed throughout the three-day event include cybersecurity, digital engineering, industrial innovation, industrial networks, maintenance evolution, motor control, operations management, process control, production automation, safety solutions, smart devices and visualisation.

“ROKLive has been designed not only to be informative, but it’s also structured as an outstanding networking opportunity, with the chance to connect with peers across a broad range of industries, including food and beverage, manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, infrastructure, water and wastewater, and many more,” said Wong.

“There are interactive sessions to match all kinds of job specialities and interests involving automation and digital connectivity, in an event that is unmatched in the industry for its scale and in-depth content,” he concluded.
